Hi there. I’m JoAnne Gerwe, the creator behind Moa HandKnits. I am an artist who has worked in various mediums including painting, sculpture, and fiber. Focusing almost exclusively in the realm of fiber arts over the last several years, I have passionately explored hand knitting techniques that have inspired my line of original hand knit garments labeled Moa HandKnits.

Moa HandKnits garments are inventive, artistic, and flattering to wear. The organic shapes of the garments envelop the wearer in style and luxurious-functional comfort. All Moa HandKnits garments are limited production pieces, hand knit by me. Moa HandKnits garments are knit with some of the world's finest fibers such as Cashmere, Alpaca, Guanaco, Buffalo, and Hand Dyed Wools. I find that people enjoy both the soft beauty of natural fibers, as well as the colorful hand dyed fibers that are featured in the garments.

Many of the Moa HandKnits garments are knit with yarns that I’ve handspun myself; so you know you are wearing something truly special that has been crafted with terrific care and thought from start to finish.
